Jr. Technical Support Engineer

FileAgo Software Private Limited is looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer who will be responsible for installing, managing and providing technical support (at both OS and application level in Linux and Windows environments) for our customers. Looking for candidates with 1-2 years experience, and should be open to travel for client on-site visits when needed.

  • Installation and configuration of Linux servers
  • Installation and configuration of customer applications in Linux and Windows
  • Technical support of Linux and Windows servers, systems and customer applications via phone and ticketing system
  • Co-ordinate application specific requirements between customer and application vendors
  • Create bash scripts for common activities like backup
  • Provide product demo and technical training to customers
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
  • Be available for on-site visits when needed
  • 1-2 years previous working experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar relevant degree
  • Tech savvy, with in-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu etc
  • Good knowledge of Docker containers
  • Strong knowledge of networking and its troubleshooting
  • Previous experience working with Nginx web server
  • Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and RHCA) will be considered an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP
  • Strong problem solving and excellent communication skills in English
